Once the mould order is confirmed and the pre-payment is received, we initiate the product and mould design process. Here’s how we proceed:
1. Initial Technical Analysis
Our technical department starts by analyzing the customer’s sample or product drawing. We check the feasibility of production, focusing on key aspects such as size and structure. This early-stage analysis ensures a smooth and efficient mold design later on.
2. Review of Customer-Provided Product Drawing
If the customer provides a product drawing, our technical department confirms several key points, including:
Once these points are confirmed, the technical team will proceed with the 3D design.
Raw material of the product
Product shrinkage
Product dimensions
Surface requirements
Mold cavity specifications
Product functionality
And other important details
3. Converting the Product into 3D Data
There are several ways to convert a physical product or drawing into 3D data:
After gathering this data, our team uses UG software to process it—converting point data into lines, lines into surfaces, and finally creating the 3D product design.
Using a simple product drawing
Utilizing a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to measure points and compile the data
Scanning the sample and converting the dimensions directly into 3D data
4. Mold Design
With the completed product design, we move on to mold design. We consider factors like ease of demolding and optimal mold lifespan. After finalizing the design, our project manager reviews it. If everything meets our standards, we send it to the customer for approval.
5. Customer Feedback and Mold Machining
Once we receive feedback from the customer, we begin machining the mold.
On the next page, I will guide you through how to select the appropriate mould steel. Stay connected through our website for any updates.
